Sreekanth Vakacherla, PhD
Sreekanth is currently working as Air Pollution Project Manager for Cardiovascular Health Impact of Air pollution in Telangana, India (CHAI-project) funded by European Research Council (ERC). The project focuses on characterization of PM and black carbon personal exposures in rural areas of Telangana.
Sreekanth has a PhD from the Department of Physics, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam (2008) with a specialization in characterization of atmospheric aerosols. After completing the PhD program, Sreekanth worked as a Scientist at Space Physics Laboratory of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, ISRO for 3 years. He conducted his post-doctoral research at IIT-Bombay, and has worked on a number of large monitoring campaigns including ICARB and RAWEX. He has published more than 24 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He currently lives in Mumbai with his family.
