Health Effects Institute (HEI) is seeking to fund health studies to assess adverse health effects of short and/or long term exposure to traffic-related air pollution. The studies should consider spatially correlated factors that may either confound or modify the health effects of traffic-related air pollution, most notably, traffic noise, socioeconomic status, and factors related to the built environment, such as presence of green space. The RFA provides up to 4 years of funding for up to 5 studies with a funding cap of $1,000,000 each.
Interested applicants should submit a Preliminary Application by March 1, 2017. Full applications (by invitation only) should be submitted no later than July 15, 2017.
