The project will investigate the lifecycle of atmospheric organic carbon, with a main focus on the product compounds of the oxidation of biogenic organic compounds, their loss mechanisms in the environment, and their transformations in aerosol particles. Instrumentation will be deployed for ambient measurements (e.g. in different forests), as well as in laboratory studies.
